Yosemite Valley hotel is worth $3.5M in a bid to keep it open
LAS VEGAS — Tourists are leaving Yosemite Valley this winter after the hotel is being turned into condos.
The owners of the Yosemite Valley Resort and Hotel announced Thursday that they’re closing the resort, which is located in the heart of Yosemite National Park.
The resort is one of two hotels built for tourists in the park.
The resort opened in 2016, and the hotel was completed in 2017.
The hotel is on the ground floor of the hotel complex, which opened in the 1970s.
The second hotel is the Grand Hotel.
It was designed by architects David Geffen and Charles Schulz.
The Grand Hotel opened in 1974.
It is now the oldest hotel in Yosemite National park.
